Marguerite (1951 - 2008). We had had a good walk at Blakehill on 12th January, then she had a stroke that evening after which she did not really recover consciousness. She died very peacefully on 21st January with all her family around her. She had had a wonderfully creative life up until her first stroke in 1998, having been a weaver and spinner, craft teacher, Anglican Lay Reader and inspiration to all who knew her. In her last inactive years she enjoyed visiting Blakehill - and every summer we spent a lovely week at Holton Lee Respite Centre on the edge of Poole Harbour. Thank you if you sent a contribution - I collected £600 for Holton Lee in Marguerite's memory. Update: The money is to be spent on a wheelchairable boardwalk to a viewing platform in the reedbeds at the edge of Lytchett Bay - something Mag would have loved to go on. Her name will be inscribed there when the boardwalk is completed in the summer.
